Pay tribute to the boys in blue, also known as police officers, this holiday season. The holidays are a time for gift giving and making donations to worthy causes, and often the boys in blue get left out. Police officers do many things for our communities, ranging from providing us protection and answering our calls for assistance to performing fundraisers and activities to help children and adults, alike. There are officers who give their lives every day in the line of duty, and taking a little time or making a little effort to pay them back is not too much to ask. So, remember the boys in blue this year when thinking of which organizations you want to make donations to. If money is tight, most departments readily accept treats like cookies, cakes and homemade meals. The boys in blue deserve our support, just like any other organization.
